Winning by a Nose…

I know you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Whatever traditions you have and enjoy, I say keep  them going forever.

One of my favorite things to do Thanksgiving is go to McDonalds and have an Egg McMuffin. Just kidding. Wanted to see if you were paying attention. It is really playing stickball at 9 am. The annual Joltin-Joe Thanksgiving Stickball Classicwas an event that brings joy to many. We had 18 people play this year. Fathers-sons, adults and children.

We had a cast of characters playing . Check out… Continue reading

The Great American Cancer Scam

I travel the country for my business, and I’m constantly asked to give money to fight cancer. Don’t get me wrong — cancer is a disease that causes so much misery and tragedy in people’s lives, and I take it very seriously. But what I do have a problem with is “The War on Cancer.” It’s a joke.

A cancer cell as seen through electron microscope

Now maybe you think that’s harsh, and I’ve crossed the line. I’m sorry to say, but it is true. The War on Cancer is… Continue reading

My Big Mouth

I must tell you that I amazed how so many people really do not care about health.

The whole “your health is everything” is a big Fat lie. Yes, I said it and I mean it.

I have a good friend who is a fitness professional, he has done a number of direct sales companies-supplements, etc Most of the ingredients in these products are inferior at best. He now works with a company that has nothing to do with health and is making some serious coin. He told me flat… Continue reading

An M V P: Getting Better With Age

I still do not know why people feel that as we age, we must break down. Who ever said that you must take medicine, pack on the pounds and get ready for the nursing home. In many countries, they honor the wisdom of the older people. We like to put them out to pasture. Out with the old and in with the new. As an athlete myself, I hear from people who tell me that I can not play Baseball forever. I have been playing since 1979 and retirement is not… Continue reading

Meet a man who defeated Tiger Woods in Golf…

How often in life do you meet someone has been living his dream of playing a professional sport for 40 years , not too often or never.

If I played one game and had one at bat in a major league baseball game, I would have cried from joy.

For Professional Golfer John Ross, this is his life. Since 1972, John has been a professional golfer and… Continue reading

The Beloved Jack Lalane

I am writing to you, as a tribute to the great Jack LaLane. As I am sure you know, he passed away on Sunday evening at the age of 96. His story was about a lifetime of dedication to health and fitness. He truly walked the walk and talked the talk. He owned gyms, was a TV star, a body builder, and man who practiced a positive way of living.

He did not insult people or get angry when people in the health industry profited off his ideas. A true… Continue reading

An Ivy league Medical Doctor says no to all ” Diets.”

Right about now people are staring to get frustrated with the new years resolution to lose weight. I keep hearing from people who say they have to lose a certain amount of weight. My question is what happens when you the reach goal which will take lots of work. Can you maintain an exhausting pace for the rest of your life, no chance. It is a pattern that many Americans do year after year and they pay a heavy price.

Think logically, if you do minimal or nothing about your… Continue reading
