Joel Christopher Remandaban came to the U.S. as a physical therapist on 8/8/88 when he was 21 years old with only $800 to his name. He worked as a travelling physical therapist during his first 5 years in the US, started a physical therapy private practice and home health agency

He is now a best-selling author, world-class speaker and mentor known worldwide as “The Master List Builder”. He has transformed himself into a very successful Internet Marketing entrepreneur, best-selling author, speaker and mentor starting in 2000 and has spoken in front of thousands of audiences in the U.S., Canada and Asia.

He has shared the stage with many other best-selling authors, world-class speakers and marketing legends such as Ted Nicholas, Jay Conrad Levinson, Joe Vitale, Mark Victor Hansen & Joe Sugarman. Recently, on April 29-30th, he was the only Asian speaker at the 2-day “National Achievers Congress 2008″, Asia’s largest sales and marketing convention held in Singapore attended by more than 4,500 professionals.

As he usually does when he speaks before an international audince, he genuinely showed strong Filipino pride by wearing Barong Tagalog when he spoke at that recent well-attended event.

When Joel Christopher started marketing online in early 2000, he was merely an Internet Marketing Beginner, or what he fondly calls a “Newbie Netpreneur”. After failing and floundering in his first year online, he figured out the truth of the marketing maxim: “Your Money Is In Your List”. He built and grew his own opt-in list to more than 200,000 subscribers and on the way to that figure there was one period where he tripled his list to over 30,903 in only 99 days.

Today, Joel is on the cutting edge of training and development in the Internet Marketing industry by creating & producing live, interactive, hands-on MasterListBuilder fun workshops and webinars worldwide with the goal of empowering the world, one netpreneur (internet entrepreneur) at a time.

As a philanthropist, Joel Christopher started a scholarship program in 1993 by sending poor yet academically deserving kids through high school and college. His very first scholar back in 1993 who finished high school as the class valedictorian and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Accounting is now his office manager in Manila.

As a social entrepreneur, his personal mission is to radically reduce poverty in his hometown of Tabango, Leyte by providing IT scholarships to 1,000 poor but deserving high school graduates of his hometown and provide them job and business opportunities in his social enterprise company so they prosper intellectually as well as economically.

He aims to convert his poor farming and fishing hometown village into a first-world cyber-resort through the power of Internet job outsourcing technologies in the next 3-5 years by patterning his social enterprise with the social business structure of Grameen Bank, the social enterprise created by 2006 Nobel Peace Laureate Muhammad Yunus.

He is also working with Singaporean business owners, investors and urban planning specialists and the local government of his hometown of Tabango, Leyte to help transform the town into the next Singapore in the next 3-5 years. The structure of this poverty-reducing plan is modeled after the structure laid out in great detail by Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus in his latest book: “Creating A World Without Poverty”.

Joel currently lives in Helotes, a scenic suburb of San Antonio, Texas, USA with his wife Sheila, 5 yr old daughter Simone and 1 year old son Anton and plans to frequently visit his Manila and Tabango, Leyte social business operations about once every quarter until it becomes self-sustaining. Eventually, he wants to retire in his Philippine town of Tabango, Leyte by the year 2012 or sooner.

¨ As part of the first Filipino-American Trade Mission team in 2006 to the Philippines to provide job and business opportunities to Filipinos in the Philippines, he was inspired to start an outsourcing company as a social business or social enterprise based on the concept started by 2006 Nobel Peace Prize Winner Muhammad Yunus with his Grameen Bank.

¨ Annually, an average of 350 students graduate from high school in Tabango, Leyte and an appalling 75% of them (262 graduates) cannot afford to attend college. As a concerned social entrepreneur, Joel aims to educate and train poor yet deserving high school graduates from Tabango, Leyte. After passing the rigorous 3-month training on internet and information technology, they’re provided jobs in his outsourcing operations, MasterListBuilder Philippines.

¨ The goals of this social enterprise are to train and provide internet outsourcing jobs to 1,000 poor yet deserving high school graduates in Tabango, Leyte by 2010 thereby transforming the town into a world-class cyber-resort and make it a model town for other Phil towns to emulate.
