A Client who “Fired Her DIET!”

The following is a letter I just received from a Coaching Client from Vancouver, British Columbia!
Last week, after we spoke, I felt very positive and relieved. All of a sudden, all those things I really enjoy, like sweet potato, carrots, parsnips, beets (okay, I’m weird) I could eat again! I have been on so many diets, all carb restrictions, that I quit eating root vegetables years ago. Then it was fats. Then dairy. Then wheat. Arrgh! No wonder my body is confused! My brain was too!
Anyway, since talking to you, I know you asked me to email you with how many glasses of water a day I drank on Thursday. Unfortunately, I only got up to 5 glasses of water, and 3 cups of herbal tea. Friday, I was able to consume 10 glasses of water, but didn’t dare leave the house! lol.
My water intake is still inconsistent, although I am making a conscious effort to consume more water. I am also eating the two organic apples a day. And guess what?! I no longer am eating all night in front of the tv. I’m simply not hungry, and don’t feel deprived of anything. I have a hearty breakfast, an apple mid morning, soup and salad or half a sandwich (my fave is avocado with alfalfa sprouts on Ezekial bread), and a fruit smoothie. Mid afternoon is another apple. By dinner, I can eat, but I’m not starving, I’m not deprived, and I eat really well. I’m sooooo loving having a piece of sweet potato.
And you know, if I have a chocolate craving? I either eat organic chocolate ( which tastes great but I’m satisfied with a small amount) or make myself a cup of cocoa made with stevia, soy milk and hot water. Delicious!
Anyway, I’m still working on the water. But I’m feeling so much more energized and I’m not feeling that food is ruling my day. I’m not worried about carbs or calories, or anything else. I just eat until I feel satisfied. That is a bit of a challenge, as after dealing with an eating disorder, I no longer have the ability to feel full or hungry.
Although I threw out my scale, I feel slimmer. My pants are a little looser, and I don’t feel so blah. Maybe I’m finally getting rid of the inflammation in my body – that will be great! Even if I haven’t lost any weight, I still FEEL a whole lot better! I’m able to focus more and I’m not so tired.
Thanks so much, Joe! Looking forward to our next session.

One trouble with exhausting sugar foods within 60 minutes prior to exercise is the concurrent summit of blood insulin concentrations which curbs fat exercise during workout and increments the using up of sacred stored muscle glycogen (energy). This reception is passing and does not ordinarily motivate most athletes in survival competition; however, it suits more peculiar in shorter high-intensity outcomes and to any athlete who may be delicate to increased receptions to blood sugar degrees. Timing and low glycemic index foods could benefit these athletes.
